I was stationed in the USAF at Dobbins AFB GA where Lockheed Plant 6 was located and I saw many of the experiments performed while developing the C130 and the Lockheed Jet Star corporate jet. I would also recommend a book about Lockheed Skunk Works written by Ben Rich,|From Publishers Weekly|Although less broadly geared than Beyond the Wild Blue, Boyne's latest is remarkable for its depth of research.
