A better subtitle would have been the "The Industrial Infrastructure of Royal Navy Dockyards" since only the Government owned yards are described and the focus is the the functional architecture of the built structures. Gi|About the Author|David C. Evans was a professor of history at the University of Richmond and edited The Japanese Navy in World War II. He died in 1999.
