In fact, a more accurate title or subtitle would have been An Encyclopedia of Shipbuilders where Shipbuilders would be understood to encompass those contributing to design, analysis, construction, operation and invention|About the Author|Fred M. Walker is naval architect at the National Maritime Museum in England.
